Children express themselves however they can to get their needs met. Sometimes this can look like frustrating or even inappropriate behaviors. Play therapy, or talk therapy if the child is developmentally ready, can allow children to process difficult emotions and express themselves in healthier ways.

I pair child sessions with parent consultations and whole-family work to respond to difficult dynamics in a holistic manner.

• Weekly sessions start at 45 min and depending on the child, may increase to 50 min

• Monthly parent consultations, or as often as fits the needs of the family; 50-60 min

  • Work through and practice how to better respond to your child’s anxiety, anger, sadness, or difficult behaviors

  • Help with crisis or challenges (such as divorce), improve communication and reduce stress

  • Reconcile differing parenting styles or conflicts between parents
